Violet and her 'pets'
These are my old beanie babies. Violet has been obsessed with them since we got here in March.
She chose six (five dogs and one cat) the day after we arrived. They have gone nearly everywhere with her since then. Every car ride. To bed every night. She plays with them all day long. (Right now she's pretending to "trick or treat" with them, and we cut out little treats for them, dog bones and goldfish for the Kitty. Violet said after making them "they will be SO happy that they got a little treat!")
She got another little dog, the one with bunny ears on Easter, and so the group of pets became seven. The seventh dog is slightly bigger and so Violet called her "Mama Dog." The others are Rover (the red one,) Weenie (the dachshund,) Tracker (the Basset Hound?) Sparky (the dalmatian,) Velvet (the black cat,) and Wrinkles (the bulldog.)
It's so sweet, because she's never really been into security objects or things of that nature.
It's also kind of hard, because then I have to keep track of SEVEN tiny lovies. If even one is missing from the group, Violet won't go to sleep until she has them all. A few times we've had to have massive searches for the missing pet. Last time, Wrinkles was missing because he was in the fridge. Violet said "he needed to cool off."
Anyway, just thought I'd write a little bit about the "pets" because I don't want to forget this little stuff when she's older. :) Sleep Tracker
